A brief company history
Establishment
Nico Moretto established the Alpes Works in 1954, focusing on
the production of kitchen cabinets fitted with porcelainized
sinks.
Following the success of this undertaking, Alpes expanded its
range of products to include the manufacture of modular kitchen
furniture. |

Stainless steel: the turning
point
Nico Moretto's approach to stainless steel can only be described
as love at first sight. In the old days stainless steel came
from Sweden packaged like precious metal: Moretto was immediately
fascinated by this entirely new material, even before he began
to discover its unique properties. Clean, complete, basic: ever
since the 1960's stainless steel has been the only material
used by Alpes to manufacture its products: sinks, hobs, ovens,
exhaust hoods, cookers, deep fryers, barbecues, grills and dishwashers. |

New horizons
Later the design of built-in and countertop appliances was modernised
with the "80's Collection", which gave a significant
evolutionary thrust to Alpes production. During this stage the
company began manufacturing products for the bathroom, mini-spaces
and the boatbuilding industry.
The expertise acquired in steel machining led, first, to the
"Argento" programme and, later, to the development
of the '"Argento-E193" collection, which was continuously
updated in order to provide increasingly functional, reliable
and sophisticated products.
Today, the comprehensiveness of the product range finds its
natural accomplishment and synthesis in the development of the
"kitchen elements for free installation". |

Trade shows
In 1962 Alpes exhibited its products at the Milan trade show:
this was the first of a long series of participations at international
trade fairs held in Italy and throughout Europe. In 1980 Alpes
began exhibiting at the Saie trade show in Bologna: this exhibition
has since represented a key event for the company.
In the 90's Alpes started exhibiting at the Domotechnica fair
in Cologne, the most prestigious trade show for the electrical
appliance industry.
Moreover, the Alpes products are constantly on show at the trade
fair installations of leading kitchen furniture manufacturers. |
